Tickets

We’re again experiencing issues with this off-the-shelf ticketing system. Next year we’ll be building our own system! (Any designer/programmer people wishing to volunteer their services please get in touch!). The system might tell you there are “unfortunately no tickets left for this event” which isn’t the case.

The lecture theatre holds ~210 and we have around 150 registered so there is still space. If you’d like to attend, please call along and we’ll register you at the door. See you at 6.30 pm!

Design Futures

What is design? The last decade has seen the answer to this question alter fundamentally. Designers are no longer seen as mere stylists, adding ‘sprinkles’ to a finished product. Increasingly involved at every stage of the idea process designers now lead, and often alter, the path projects take. As the barriers between disciplines dissolve the role of the designer is changing, designers embracing multidisciplinary approaches and moving freely between specialisms.

Three leading thinkers from the field of design Adrian Shaughnessy (‘How To Be a Graphic Designer Without Losing Your Soul’, This is Real Art), Andy Stevens (Graphic Thought Facility) and Andrew Summers (Design Partners) cast light on an industry that is undergoing fundamental change.

We are delighted to have the opportunity to welcome three internationally respected speakers to Belfast and hope to see you there. Thank you for your support.

Date

6.30 pm, Friday 9 November.

Followed by a sponsored drinks reception and an opportunity to network over a glass of wine.
